Supporting DOT Employees with Expert, Non-Judgmental Cannabis Education

If you're a DOT employee who’s tested positive for cannabis, you're likely facing tough questions about your future — around your career, health, and next steps.

You might feel overwhelmed, ashamed, or frustrated by a system that treats cannabis use as a moral failure rather than a complex issue. Maybe you’re confused by the return-to-duty process or unsure what this means for your relationship with cannabis. You could be wondering, Did I mess up? What now? Whatever you’re feeling — fear, regret, curiosity — it’s valid.

This moment doesn’t define you, but it can be a turning point. You deserve support, not judgment. Clarity, not shame. You're not alone — and you're not without options.

This isn’t a punishment or a lecture on what you’ve done wrong. You deserve more than scare tactics. You deserve real information — and real support.

MEET THE CANNABIS COACH IN YOUR CORNER

Hi, I’m Laura Geftman, LCSW (she/her)

I’m passionate about helping people stay calm, cool, and collected when navigating complex and high-stakes situations. This program provides clear, factual, and unbiased education about cannabis—what it is, how it works in the body, and how it intersects with DOT regulations and workplace testing.

I’ve helped many individuals better understand their test results, make sense of confusing or conflicting information, and move forward feeling informed and confident rather than overwhelmed or reactive.

You’ll learn how cannabis affects the brain and body, what testing does and does not measure, and how to make responsible, informed decisions that support your career and compliance requirements.

Change starts with understanding. I’m here to guide you through the information so you can move forward steady, informed, and prepared.
